VERONICA J. CIRESE

Veronica J. Cirese, 93, of Westshire Farms, Delavan, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at her home.  She was born Oct. 3, 1919 in Chicago the daughter of the late Michael and Saveria (Brucato) Cirese.

She worked in the Walworth County ASCS office for over 25 years, retiring in 1975. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church of Elkhorn.

She enjoyed bowling and was a member of Wal-Roc Bowling League and was an avid Packer Fan.

She is survived by her sister, Eleanor Cirese of Delavan, and by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by three sisters, Josephine Cirese, Helen Pagliaro, and Marie Cirese; five brothers, Charles, Joseph, Leonard, Michael and Salvatore Cirese; and nephew Thomas Pagliaro.

A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 11, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 107 W. Walworth St., Elkhorn, with Father Oriol Regales officiating.  Burial will be at Roselawn Memory Gardens in the Town of Delavan.  Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home, 730 N. Wisconsin St., Elkhorn.

Memorials may be made in Veronica’s name to Aurora VNA of Wisconsin-Hospice or St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
