PAMELA C. THOMPSON

Pamela C. Thompson, 81 of Elkhorn, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013 at her home. She was born on March 23, 1931 in Elkhorn. She was the daughter of the late Clayton and Ruth (Wells) Baker.

She was married to Richard M. Thompson on Nov. 17, 1951 at St. John in the Wilderness Episcopal Church in Elkhorn. She graduated from Elkhorn Area High School in 1949. She attended Milton College, University of Wisconsin Eau-Claire and the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse.

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a member of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants. She was a member of St. John in the Wilderness Episcopal Church and was very involved in the work of the church. She enjoyed antiques and had a beautiful collection of butter pats.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Richard, her daughter Martha (Billy) Hadfield of Leavenworth, Kan., her two grandchildren Molly and Byron Hadfield, and her cat Violet. She was preceded in death by her son Peter.

A funeral Mass was held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 at St. John’s in the Wilderness Episcopal Church, 13 S. Church St. Elkhorn. Visitation was from 2 p.m. until the time of service at the church.
