Lakeland to host Love Lite ceremony

Aurora Lakeland Medical Center volunteers will host the 31st annual Love Lite program in early December but the deadline to purchase lights is next week.

The program will be held at 4 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018 in the main entrance lobby of the hospital at W3985 Highway NN, Elkhorn.

It will feature a celebration of the season with music and the tree lighting. White lights to decorate the tree can be purchased to honor loved ones and each bulb purchased will have a name written on it while blue bulbs will honor service men and women and those in law enforcement. A separate pet tree will feature bulbs to honor or remember a favorite pet.

Each light is $5 and proceeds will help support the volunteers’ programs including the wig program, Healthy Kid’s Club and scholarships for those pursuing a health care career.

The deadline for donations for a love lite is Nov. 29. Send the donation to LOVE LITE, Aurora Lakeland Medical Center Assoc., W3985 County Rd. NN, Elkhorn, WI 53121. Specify which colored light and the name of the person or pet being honored or remembered.
