East Troy Middle School students perform in honors bands

Ten students from the East Troy Middle School seventh, and eighth, grade bands were selected to participate in the 52nd Annual UW, Milwaukee Honors Band Festival.

Taylor Cain, flute; Natalie Goetsch, clarinet; Megan Greenlees, clarinet; Carly Boers, alto sax; Cadence Kroll, alto sax; Teagan Borkowski, french horn; Sean Hartzheim, trumpet; Kaden Fridley, trombone; Melissa Kuchenbecker, euphonium and Nick Cleveland, percussion, were nominated by band director John Rash and selected based on instrumentation needs from more than 800 nominated students.

The students were assigned into one of three honor bands and rehearsed with guest conductors last Friday, Saturday and Sunday in preparation for their final concert at the Zelazo Performing Arts Center on the campus of UWM on Sunday, Nov. 18.
