Team finishes seventh at sectionals

The final results Monday didn’t quite swing in the East Troy High School girls golf team’s favor.
But the Trojans enjoyed a heck of a run just to get there.
East Troy finished seventh at the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Division 2 Neenah Sectional at the Ridgeway Country Club to see its 2018 season come to a close.
“The girls had their ups and downs today on a tough course,” East Troy coach Ryan Manske said. “After a slow start, they did improve as each of their rounds progressed. With some tough sand shots and fast greens, the girls left some shots out on the course.
“It was a good opportunity for the younger two on the team, and they will be more experienced in these situations next year.”
