This week in the East Troy News…

The East Troy Community School District’s Board of Education directed administration to put together a list of areas of need in the district from improving programming to funding to help form a community survey designed to find out what the community wants from the schools and what they will support in the way of increased funding, if necessary. Read about the process, which will happen over the next several months, in this week’s edition of the paper.

The national “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign begins today and runs until Labor Day, Sept. 3. The Village of East Troy Police Department is joining departments across the state in efforts to stop drunken driving.

In sports, the East Troy High School girls tennis team has racked up several wins and the Trojan football team opens its season on the road at Clinton tonight.
