Poker run to help dive team

Kip & Deb’s Tavern, 184 Park Ave., Sharon, will host Reaper Run on Saturday, Aug. 18 to benefit Darien Crossed Irons Firefighters Association.

Proceeds from the event will be used to purchase scuba equipment for the Darien fire and emergency medical services dive and rescue team. The team assists other public safety divers who respond to water emergencies on all Walworth County bodies of water.

Reaper Co. in Delavan will bring the Reaper Run to Kip & Deb’s Tavern for its first poker run.

Registration is from 10 a.m. to noon. The first group will go out at 11 a.m., and the start and finish will be at Kip & Deb’s. The cost is $25 for the driver and $10 for each additional passenger.

Prizes will be $500 for the poker winner, $300 for second place, and $100 for third place. Those that are playing may want to brush up on their skills a little bit before it’s time for them to take part. They can check out websites like https://casinomartini.com/es/bono-sin-deposito/ and see what games are available for them to have some fun on. Who knows, maybe they’ll have a win online before they make it to the event.

Remember, this is all for a good cause so come on down and see what all the family can have fun with.

An after-party starts at 4 p.m. with live music, silent auction, 50-50 raffles, and giveaways. Event sponsorships are available.

Participants can save $5 on registration by signing up in advance at info@reapercompany.org.

Reaper Co. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that supports veterans, first-responders, and their families.
