Meeting set for Highway 67 resurfacing

DOT will discuss proposed plans for project in Williams Bay

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation will host a public involvement meeting next week to discuss the proposed resurfacing of Highway 67 in the Village of Williams Bay.

The purpose of the project is to extend the service life of the highway from North Lake Shore Drive to Glenwood Drive.

The meeting will be held 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 1 in the council room at the Williams Bay Village Hall, 250 Williams St. The meeting will follow an informal, open house format with DOT representatives who will be on-hand to discuss the proposed project in detail.

“(The DOT) encourages property and business owners, interested residents, and other stakeholders to attend the meeting and ask questions,” a press release states.

The proposed improvements include: two segments of resurfacing – North Lake Shore Drive to Stark Street and Stark Street to Glenwood Drive; and curb ramp and roadway shoulder upgrades, according to the release.

Pending funding, the proposed project is tentatively scheduled for 2022-23.

After gathering input at next week’s meeting, design modifications will be explored and the preferred alternative will be finalized.

Anyone unable to attend the Aug. 1 meeting who would like additional information should contact DOT project manager Ryan Bernard at (262) 548-6471 or Ryan.Bernard@dot.wi.gov.
