Former Elkhorn woman publishes first book

Katy Eeten, who has spent most of her life in southeast Wisconsin including eight years in Elkhorn, recently published her first book.

Eeten, who was born in Minnesota, moved to Wisconsin when she was 2. Last year, she and her husband, Jason, and their children, penned the Christian romance novel, “Blast from Her Past,” with Anaiah Press publishing company.

As for why the Christian romance route, Katy said she’s always enjoyed reading and writing, with “sweet” romances being one of her favorites.

“My Christian faith compels me to make sure my writing has a positive and appropriate message, ultimately pointing people to God in what I hope to be meaningful, realistic, and entertaining ways,” she said.
