The Whitewater Tourism Council has teamed up with the Whitewater Optimist Club to lend a hand in providing winter clothing items for children in need in the Whitewater Unified School District. The collection is part of the Wisconsin Department of Tourism’s “The Big Bundle Up” campaign, which runs through Jan. 4.

Residents who would like to participate are invited to decorate the trees in the front lobbies of Commercial Bank, 200 S Fremont; First Citizens State Bank 207 W. Main St. and 1058 W. Main St. and Associated Bank, 219 Center St., with mittens, scarves, hats and other winter apparel.

“We invite you to join in on the giving spirit for the holidays and bring warmth to those in need,” said Marie Koch, Interim Executive Director Whitewater Tourism Council.
