Diana C. Smith, 76, of Darien, passed away May 22, 2018, at her home in Darien.
She was born in Elkhorn on July 2, 1941, to Karl and Gladys (Meyers) Reeb. Diana married Marvin Smith on July 22, 1971, in Harvard, Ill. He passed away Aug. 25, 2009. Diana worked for many years at Lakeland Health Care Center as a certified nursing assistant. She enjoyed snowmobiling, trap shooting and sewing. Diana was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, the READS Program in Darien and was a Girl Scout leader.
Diana is survived by three daughters, Karla (Dennis) Kelly, of Virginia, Marcia (Steve) Labutski, of Big Bend, and Paula (Dean) Smith, of Darien; six grandchildren, Kristopher (Courtney) Kelly, Kyle Kelly, Brett Smith, Meghan Smith, Bryce (Rebeca Hernandez) Rambin and Brooke (Chris) Henley; a sister, Judy (Charles) Stimpfl, of Milton; a brother, Bill (Sandy) Reeb, of Oregon; a sister-in-law, Margot Reeb, of Elkhorn; and many nieces and nephews.
Diana is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; her parents; a sister, Nancy; and a brother, Gene.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Ave. in Delavan. Visitation will be from noon until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Darien Cemetery. The family wishes to give a special thanks to St. Croix Hospice for the amazing care given to Diana.
