A status conference is scheduled for May 8 for one of four men charged with robbing a Town of East Troy apartment in 2014 and shooting a woman inside.

Michael Kraft, 37, of Glendale, pleaded not guilty in 2015 to armed robbery, first-degree reckless injury, substantial battery and false imprisonment, all as a party to a crime.

Kraft is one of four men charged in connection with an October 2014 robbery in which a woman was shot in the leg and a man beaten in an apartment at Barley’s Hops and Malt in the Town of Troy.

Two of the men – Jeremy L. Thomas, 30, and Drevon A. Grant, 22, both of Milwaukee – already have been convicted and sentenced in connection with the crime. A third – Jacob A. Curler, 37, of East Troy – is scheduled to be sentenced May 3.

Curler pleaded guilty Dec. 5 to armed robbery. In exchange, charges of first-degree reckless injury, substantial battery and false imprisonment against him were dismissed.

Kraft, known as “White Boy Mike,” is believed to have been inside the apartment with Thomas and Grant, who is believed to have been the shooter in the incident. Curler is believed to have picked the trio up afterward and anticipated getting $30,000 to $50,000 from the robbery because it was his idea, according to the criminal complaint.
