This never-ending winter weather is taking its toll on all of us.

Looking out my window last weekend was another exercise in deepening my six-month depression. After all, I checked the calendar and Monday was Tax Day, which unless the yearly painful deadline had changed, happens in April.

This is April, correct?

Bah humbug.

And the snow that blanketed the entire state – and buried our friends to the north – has had more than one nasty effect this week.

It’s killing the spring sports schedule.

There are about six weeks remaining before all the spring sports will begin WIAA playoff action.
