FNBT seeks nominations for financial literacy award

The Stateline area features teachers, volunteers and organizations working hard to improve the financial literacy of people within local communities – after all, it is just good sound advice to understand money management, budgeting, saving, credit, and goal setting.

First National Bank and Trust wants to reward a 2018 Financial Literacy Champion. Now in the sixth year of presenting this grant, the award will honor one hard-working individual and the organization or school where they work or volunteer to enhance financial literacy.

Criteria for nominations includes the following: dedication to improving financial literacy, outstanding role model in the community, demonstration of commitment to excellence, and innovative implementation of programs and efforts to improve financial literacy.

Nominations will be accepted until midnight on Sunday, April 29, via FNBT’s website, bankatfirstnational.com/flc.

Up to three individuals will be selected as finalists from all of the nominations received. Voting will be open to the public beginning on Tuesday, May 1 through First National Bank and Trust’s Facebook page.

The winner will receive $100 and the organization or non-profit they represent will receive a grant of $1,000.
