LAURA S. ROSLOF

      Laura S. Roslof, 69, of Elkhorn, passed away peacefully April 2, 2018, at her daughter’s home in Elkhorn.

She was born Nov. 12, 1948, in DeKalb, Ill., to the late Edward and Hildegard (Vilser) Miller. She was united in marriage to James P. Roslof on April 25, 1968, in Aptos, Calif. James preceded her in death after 42 years of marriage March 19, 2011.

Laura owned and operated Roslof Design Studio, which specialized in stain glass work. She had a beautiful and unique free spirit. Laura was very gifted in the arts, working in any media from clay to acrylics to culinary to fabric. She was trained in the sciences but always profited from her artistic skills. Laura’s work was exhibited in the Art Institute of Chicago in 1960’s and throughout Chicago and San Francisco. She considered herself to be well versed as a nutritionist, culinary chef, seamstress and most importantly an artist.

She is survived by her three loving children, Krista Roslof of Milwaukee, Jessica (Adam) Berge and Matthew Roslof both of Elkhorn; four grandchildren, Braden and Tanner Berge and Maxwell and Morgan Baber; and one brother, Charles “Bud” (Pamela) Miller of Red Wing, Minn. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

A memorial service will be 6 p.m. tonight at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory, 730 N. Wisconsin St., Elkhorn. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until the service at the funeral home.
