Blood donations could garner scholarships

The Walworth County Education Consortium will host a blood drive at the Alternative High School from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 4.

In addition to helping patients in need of blood, if the drive meets its pledge requirements, the Red Cross will sponsors scholarships for Alternative High School students to continue their education after graduation.

Donors can make an appointment by contacting Bridget Trewyn at 262-741-8490 or visiting redcross.org and clicking on the “give blood” tab.

Walk-ins are also welcome on the day of the drive.

The WCEC Alternative High School is in the west building on the Elkhorn Gateway Technical College Campus, 400 County Highway H, Elkhorn.
