VIRGINIA HELGERSON

Virginia Helgerson, of Walworth, formerly Mt. Sterling, passed away March 29, 2018, at Holton Manor in Elkhorn.

Virginia Helgerson was born May 11, 1929, in St. Sterling, to Carroll H. and Anna (Olsen) Helgerson.

Virginia lived in Mt. Sterling for her first 30 years before moving into and working at the Christian League for the Handicapped in Walworth. While there, Virginia worked in the bookstore, the kitchen and their workshop. Virginia was a member of the Chapel of the Hill in Lake Geneva.

Virginia is survived by her sisters-in-law Dorothy and Hazel Helgerson; nephews Tom and Craig Helgerson; great nieces Anna and Annalies; and great nephews Erik and David.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers Thomas and Douglas Helgerson.

A visitation will be from 1 p.m. Friday at Toynton’s Walworth Funeral Home, 328 Kenosha St., Walworth, until the time of the service at 2 p.m.

Burial will be at 2 p.m. April 9 in Evergreen Cemetery in Mt. Sterling.

  1. Virginia was one of the original residents of the Christian League, known now as Inspiration Ministries. She was a blessing to the other residents, always helping out.
    It was a privilege to know her. She is finally home with her precious Lord and Savoir Jesus,
