Students at Big Foot High School and schools throughout the entire country took part in a 17-minute walkout Wednesday morning at 10 a.m., one month after 17 people were killed in a mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla.

Dubbed the National Student Walkout with the hashtag #EnoughIsEnough, the event was planned as a way to remember those that have lost their lives in school shootings and as a way to protest for gun reform.

At Big Foot, the decision was made to gather in the foyer at the high school, in front of a wall that contains the names and ages of people killed in school shootings.
