FRANCES J. MAXFIELD

Frances J. Maxfield entered into eternal life at her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 at the age of 77.

Frances was born on Feb. 6, 1935 in Waukesha the beloved daughter of the late Peter and Genevieve Muzich.

Treasured and loving mother of David A. (Bobbi) Jones, Debra A. (James) Adamus, Valerie C. (Paul) Gullicksen, and Misty R. (Stephanie Knutson) Jaeschke. The proud and adored grandmother of Amy Barth, Sheri Jones, David Grauer, Aaron Hamm, Alyssa Adamus, Eric and Kyle Gullicksen, and Jordan and Ashley Jaeschke. Loving sister of Maryann (Frank) Mollett, Louise (Mel) Ford, Patricia (Derald) Vant, and Kathy (Nelson) Osborne. Fran is further survived by nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and other relatives, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her devoted and cherished husband, Andrew Jackson Maxfield Jr. on Oct. 18, 2012, and sisters, Elizabeth, Rose, Carol, and Gladys.

Fran was an avid gardener, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post #375, St. James Parish, and WREN (Waukesha Radio Emergency Net).

She worked many years at Amron Corporation, where she was very active with the union as a steward and committee member. Fran took great pride in supporting the Democratic Party and was a strong activist in what she believed in right up until her death.

The family will receive friends at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, 930 Main St., (Highway ES), Mukwonago on Sunday, Dec. 16 from 3-7 p.m. A second visitation will be held on Monday, Dec. 17 at St. James Catholic Church, 830 County Road NN East in Mukwonago from 10-10:45 a.m. with the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove. Memorials in Fran’s name may be directed to Allay Home and Hospice.

Fran’s family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Allay Home & Hospice, especially Crissy Mendez, and Emily Nickel for providing wonderful and loving care to their mother. A very special thank you to their Allay nurse, Britta Nell, who has been a special angel, and Godsend to their mom and family.
