DEBBIE A. HITZ

      Debbie Ann Hitz, 58, of Delavan, passed away March 3, 2018, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg.

She was born in Elkhorn, June 26, 1959, to Arthur and Patricia (Downs) Whalen. Debbie was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, as well as camping and scrapbooking. She also enjoyed drinking coffee to stay warm. She was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church and the Delavan Lady Elks.

Debbie is survived by her daughter, Susan (Mike) Larison, of Delano, Minn.; her son, David (Daniele) Hitz, of Poynette; five grandchildren, Stephanie, Haley, Carter, Madelynn and Ella; her father, Arthur; best friend, Devonne (James) Kraemer, of Lake Geneva, loving companion, Rick Rogers, of Delavan; a brother, Ronald (Cindy) Whalen, of Delavan; five sisters, Kathy (Michael) Burch, of Sheboygan, Lucinda (John) Settlemeyer, of Montross, Va., Tammy Gasior, of Eau Claire, Dawn (David) Reynolds, of Wautoma, and Mary Lou Whalen, of Wautoma; many nieces and nephews; and extended family Teresa (Jason) Shallcross, Todd (Amy) Rogers and Toby Rogers and their six children.

Debbie is preceded in death by her daughter, Diane, and her mother, Patricia.

Funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 714 E. Walworth Ave., Delavan. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Ave. in Delavan and an hour before the service Wednesday at the church. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lake Geneva.

May you draw comfort from all the wonderful memories you shared and from our Heavenly Father, who comforts us during our trials, ( Psalms 46:1) God promises to resurrect those who have fallen asleep in death, through his son Christ Jesus. (John 5:28,29) When Jesus was on earth he demonstrated his ability to resurrect those who died. He will do so again on a global scale during his reign.
