Walworth County deputy medical examiner retires

Walworth County Deputy Medical Examiner Tom Miller was recently recognized by the County Board for his 41 years of service to the county’s Coroner’s Office and Medical Examiner’s Office.

Miller started in career with Walworth County in 1976. He had served as chief deputy coroner under the late John Griebel for 37 years and as a deputy medical examiner in the Medical Examiner’s Office since 2015.

In a press release, County Administrator David Bretl thanked Miller for his years of faithful service to Walworth County.

“Tom had the confidence of John Griebel for many years. After John’s passing, Tom was instrumental in making a smooth transition to the medical examiner system,” Bretl said.

Medical Examiner Dr. Lynda Biedrzycki offered her appreciation for Miller’s years of dedication to the office.

“Tom brought a great deal of experience to this office, and along with his compassion for the families he served, we cannot thank him enough for his years of service to Walworth County,” Deputy Medical Examiner Gina Carver said.
