Chiefs drop close one to Comets

For 18 minutes last Monday night, the Big Foot boys seemingly had everything under control in its nonconference contest at Delavan-Darien.

But for the last 18, it was all Comets.

Big Foot held a 36-24 lead at halftime, but was outscored, 42-26, in the second half in a 66-62 setback that dropped the Chiefs to 2-11 overall.

The difference from beginning to end was clear, Big Foot coach Jeff Fenrick said.

“(It) came down to execution on both ends,” he said. “Offensively, we got away from doing what was working the first half. We were trying to be aggressive offensively, and it turned into too much dribbling, just trying to beat our man, versus ball movement and making the defense move and getting them out of position.
