A knee injury halted the stellar Big Foot football career of standout Jackson Enz before it could reach its natural conclusion.

But that setback certainly isn’t stopping Enz from writing the next chapter of his journey.

And that means a trip to one of the nation’s best collegiate football programs this fall.

Enz officially put pen to paper when he signed his national letter of intent to attend Football College Subdivision Division I North Dakota State University. Enz was among 24 athletes who joined the Bison two weeks ago, including three from Wisconsin.

“It feels good (to officially sign),” Enz said. “I’ve been committed for a while, so pretty much all of the recruiting had settled down. But overall, it’s just exciting to know that it’s official.

“The process was long. The first interest was about a year ago, and even earlier for track, so it’s been a long road.”
