Melissa K. Heins

Melissa Kae (Krull) Heins, 50, of Black Creek, died Dec. 27, 2017, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton.

She was born April 28, 1967, to Eugene and Karen (Willenkamp) Krull. She graduated from Freedom High School in 1985 and attended UW-Stout. She was a faithful member of First English Lutheran Church, Appleton. On Oct. 14, 1995 she was united in marriage to Thomas Heins at Grace Lutheran Church in Appleton.

She organized TAFFE (Teachers And Families For Education) for the Black Creek school and served on the Seymour Community School District School Board. She missed working with her coworkers at IPAP where she always enjoyed the time solving the challenges of her job.

She enjoyed time with her family camping, her daughter’s band concerts and school functions, roller coasters, parades, golf meets, enjoyed entertaining guests, playing games, and always liked to volunteer her family to help. Melissa was a wonderful wife, mother, and daughter. No matter where she was, Melissa was always creating meaningful connections and relationships with others. She would always put others first, and worry about what she needed later.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas; daughters: Gretchen and Grace; parents: Eugene and Karen Krull; brother, Mark (Jackie) Krull; sisters-in-law: Margaret (Robert) Ingle, Karin (Ronald) Fraser and Kathy Heins; nephews: Luke Krull, Travis (Maggie) Fraser; and niece, Emily (Kevin) Smithback; great-nephew: Fletcher Fraser; great-nieces: Riley and Frankie Fraser.
