Kenneth W. McDonough, 92, of Avalon, passed away Dec. 14, 2017, at Mercy Hospital in Janesville.

He was born in Elkhorn, March 24, 1925, to Clifford and Ella McDonough. Kenneth married Katherine Johnson in 1952. She passed away July 11, 2011. They had a family farm for many years. He was a custodian at Whitewater High School for 20 years before retiring.

Kenneth is survived by two sons, Gerald McDonough, of Yoder, Ind., and Garry McDonough, of Avalon; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Jeanette Long, of Delavan, and daughter-in-law, Alice McDonough.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his wife, Katherine; a son, Gordon; a brother, Raymond; and his parents.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sugar Creek Lutheran Church, N5690 Cobblestone Road in Elkhorn. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the church. Burial will take place at Spring Grove Cemetery in Delavan.

Monroe Funeral Home in Delavan is assisting the family.
