Harold F. Bartels, 93, of East Troy, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 12, 2017. He was born in Roselle, Illinois, on May 3, 1924, to the late Anna and William Bartels.
Harold was a sergeant in the U.S. Army and served in Germany immediately after World War II.
He married Betty Hoth of Elgin, Illinois, on Feb. 12, 1955.
Harold farmed in East Troy and enjoyed spending time with family.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years; daughters, Linda (Greg) Runyan, East Troy, Patti (Tim) Zoschke, Oklahoma, and Katie Newsom, North Carolina; as well as 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Ralph; sister, Ruth Gordon; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was further preceded in death by three sisters.
Services were Dec. 15 at East Troy Bible Church.
Legacy Funeral Services, East Troy, had the honor of serving the family.
