Lindow, Rice finish sixth in Division 2 tournament

Any time a season ends with a medal at the state level, it can be considered nothing but a huge success.

And for the East Troy girls tennis duo of juniors Erin Rice and Mackenzie Lindow, the 2017 campaign was nearly a mirror image of the year before.

The Trojans’ duo, who were fourth in 2016, finished sixth overall last weekend at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium with a 2-2 record in the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Division 2 field.

“I’m very pleased overall with the weekend,” East Troy coach Dave Lindow said. “It’s very satisfying seeing the kids get back on the medal podium.

“It was a dream come true for them last year, and it felt the same this year they told me. They were very satisfied playing under the pressure of being seeded.”
