Woman charged with burglarizing apartment

A bond forfeiture hearing is scheduled for Nov. 3 for a Walworth woman after she failed to appear in court Sept. 20 to face a burglary charge.

Tami L. Gouty, 37, was charged Sept. 19 in Walworth County Circuit Court with burglary of a building or dwelling as a party to a crime.

Gouty allegedly entered a neighbor’s apartment while the woman wasn’t home Sept. 10 and took items.

Christian Gultch told police Gouty texted her at 9:35 p.m. the night before and asked for several items, according to the complaint.

When Gultch returned home around midnight Sept. 10, curtains, two picture frames with family photos, a bill organizer that contained Gultch’s mail and a bag of clothes were missing.

Gouty said she texted Gultch and asked for her belongings back, but Gultch did not respond, according to the complaint.
