Daisy Vivian Stallman, 84, died at her home on Nov. 22, 2012 with her dog, Mr. Beau, by her side. She

DAISY STALLMAN

was born on Sept. 1, 1928 to the late Arthur and Minnie Nicholson Dye in Adams County. Later she and her mother moved to Milwaukee where she finished school.

While working in Darian as a waitress she met and fell in love with her soul mate, a handsome young policeman, George Stallman. George and Daisy were married on April 22, 1955 in Poynette.

She worked at the post office in Walworth until she retired. In 1992, she lost her beloved husband, George. She then worked at Badger Barrels with Ernie and Gerry Stallman and the many canine friends who came and went, including her beloved poodle, Cinnamon.

She was baptized into the House of the Lord on Dec. 26, 1993 where she now resides in peace.

She is survived by her son Ernest (Gerry) Stallman; nieces, Marilyn (Glenn) Strohmeyer of California, Annette Manasco of Washington, Ruth Van Tassel of Wind Lake, Rosie (Carl) Revels of Neilsville, Carol Stevens of Grand Marsh, Betty (Dennis) Ulmer of Zion, Ill., Dorothy Freed of Edgarton, Kathy (Robert) Neilson of Baraboo, Sandy Delongchamp of Baraboo and Eva Lumby of Shelton, Wash.; nephews, Don Erickson of Oregon, Robert (Pat) Dye of Adams, Jerry Dye of Adams, Norman (Grace) Radtke of River Falls, Wayne (Carol) Radtke of Madison, Orley Rounds of Oregon, Clarence Lumby of Oregon and Albert Haskins of Oregon. Also, a special great-niece, Suzanne Radtke of Madison and great-great nephew, Nathan Freed of Edgarton.

Also a very special thank you to two of Gods angels, Steve and Lania Kinney of Walworth.

She was further preceded in death by Arthur and Minnie Dye of Adams; sisters, Elizabeth Pyell of Oregon, Linda Haskins of Oregon and Doris Radtke of Oxford; brothers Jimmy Dye of Adams, Lyle Dye of Milwaukee and Clarence Dye of Adams and her beloved brother-in-law Albert (Hops) Radtke who read her bedtime stories when she was a young girl.

You will be greatly missed our beloved “Aunt Daisy.”

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 28 at Toynton’s Funeral Home Walworth with the Rev. Deborah Howland officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Tibbets. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until time of service Wednesday.

Memorials can be made to the Walworth County humane society or Fontana Fire and Rescue.
