Fall Festival and Harvest Dinner at this weekend at St. Peter’s

St. Peter the Apostle Parish, 1975 Beulah Ave., East Troy, is hosting its Fall Festival and Harvest Dinner Sept. 30 and Oct. 1. Festivities on Saturday run from 6 to 9:30 p.m. and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Smooth Blues will perform in the St Peter’s café on Sept. 30; a suggested donation of $5 will be accepted, Chili Potatoes and walking taco for $5, and wine and beer will be available for purchase. The White Elephant and Country Store will also be open.

On Sunday, the church will serve its famous oven roasted chicken dinner, which includes real mashed potatoes and gravy, homemade dressing, coleslaw, hot vegetables, rolls and homemade goodies. Cost is $10 in advance or $11 the day of for adults, and $5 in advance or $6 the day of for children ages 4 to 12. Children younger than 4 eat for free.

Sunday’s activities also include the raffles. The main raffle awards a prize of $1,000 cash for first place, $500 for second place, $250 for third place, and $150 for fourth and fifth place. Tickets for the main raffle are on sale from parish members prior to the festival or at the festival. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5.

The drawing takes place at the end of the day of the festival, and participants do not need to be present to win. In addition, a handmade quilt will be raffled off in separate raffle.
