Erven R. Borchardt, 69, of Elkhorn, died Aug. 5, 2017, at his home in Elkhorn.
He was born April 26, 1948, in Wisconsin to the late Raymond and Mary (Maust) Borchardt. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict. Erven married Anna Sterken on Nov. 24, 1972, at Bethel Methodist Church in Elkhorn. He loved street rods and enjoyed attending car shows.
He is survived his loving wife of 44 years, Anna; two sons; Jonathan (Andrea) Borchardt of Janesville, and Master Sgt. Nathan (Tech. Sgt. Shanean) Borchardt, of Minot, N.D, five grandchildren, Tyus, Jonathan, Noah, Kylynn and Hayden; and his sister, Beverly (Tom) Smith.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Delavan United Methodist Church, 213 S. Second St. Delavan, with the Rev. Maribel Celiz officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to Delavan United Methodist Church.
