The Christian Arts Centre of Chapel on the Hill community church will present “Brigadoon” this summer.

“Brigadoon,” a book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe, is about two American tourists who stumble upon Brigadoon, a mysterious Scottish village that appears for only one day every 100 years.

The production, directed by Mark Badtke, music directed by Janet Palmer and choreographed by Colleen Walker, contains songs such as “Almost Like Being in Love,” “I’ll Go Home with Bonnie Jean,” “Heather on the Hill,” “There But for You Go I,” “From This Day On” and “Come to Me, Bend to Me.”             The cast has about 40 members including children and adults from Delavan, Lake Geneva, Genoa City, Elkhorn, Pell Lake, Walworth, Williams Bay, Burlington, Kansasville and Fontana. The cast is led by Kerry John Knowlton, of Burlington, in the role of Tommy and Makenzie Ferguson in the role of Fiona.

To celebrate the July 28 opening night of Brigadoon, the Christian Arts Centre will host a special opening night gala beginning at 7 p.m. Ticket holders will be served complimentary hors d’oeuvres and desserts.
