Betty Joan Baar, 82, of Delavan, passed away at her son’s home in Delavan on June 13, 2017.
She was born May 30, 1935 in Cicero, Ill., to Richard James and Katherine (Van Byssum) Wezeman.
This sweet soul went home to Jesus, peacefully on a Tuesday afternoon. She was an inspiration to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her love for her Savior Jesus Christ guided her in life in such a way that her example was the true light of God. She will be greatly missed but we celebrate that she is with her Savior and at peace.
She is survived by her children, Pam Yardley, William (Teri) Baar III, James (Corinne) Baar, and Lorie (Scott) Zweifel; 16 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; sister, Judy Rosendahl; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Baar Jr.; daughter, Debra Kahlil; sister, Marilyn (John) Baker; and brother-in-law, Ted Rosendahl.
Visitation will be on Saturday at Briggs Road Evangelical Free Church, 4654 Briggs Rd, Elkhorn, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery, Delavan.
