Borg Road to close for two weeks

Access to intersection businesses will be maintained

On Wednesday, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation plans to begin a 14-day closure of Borg Road at East Geneva Street in Delavan.

The closure is necessary for reconstruction of the Highway 50 and Borg Road-Wright Street intersection, according to the DOT.

The closure affects the Borg Road leg of the intersection. The closure will not affect traffic on Highway 50 traveling east and west through the intersection. It will not affect the Wright Street leg of the intersection.

Access to businesses will be maintained. Motorists wishing to access businesses south of Highway 50 near Borg Road, should take north and south cross streets west of the intersection to Phoenix Street, then connect with Borg Road.

The intersection is anticipated to open to traffic June 28. The schedule of work is weather dependent and subject to change.

The activity is related to the Highway 50 project. More information can be found at projects.511wi.gov/wis50walw/.
