Delavan man dies in motorcycle crash

A Delavan man died Monday after the motorcycle he was driving crashed into a tree in the Town of Sugar Creek.

Joshua Faber, 32, was found dead next to a tree at about 11:35 a.m. Monday at County Highway H and Sugar Creek Road, according to the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office.

Faber was the sole rider of the motorcycle, and deputies determined he was driving east on Sugar Creek Road when he failed to stop at the stop sign at Highway H. The motorcycle continued across Highway H and into a ditch coming to rest against a tree, according to a press release.

Faber was pronounced dead at the scene by the Walworth County Medical Examiner’s Office. Speed is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash.

The crash remained under investigation Tuesday by the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office crash investigation unit and the Walworth County Medical Examiner’s Office.
