WSD beats Missouri 60-28

The Wisconsin School for the Deaf football team concluded its season with a 60-28 homecoming win over Missouri School for the Deaf.       The Firebirds finished their season with a 3-5 record, getting their wins over Missouri, Iowa School for the Deaf and Kansas School for the Deaf.

Against Missouri, the Firebirds used their running game to pick up the lopsided win.

Senior Lennon Morrissey ran for 144 yards with three touchdowns and three point-after attempts.

Jose Zepeda-Amador rushed for 90 yards, also getting three touchdowns and had two point-after attempts.

The Firebirds built up a 54-12 halftime lead and, behind a strong defensive effort, Missouri never got closer than 34 points in the second half.
