Police are searching for two men who attacked a patron of the Brick House Bar and Grill as he was walking home.

Two white men believed to be about 18 to 21 years old assaulted Michael J. Brellenthin, 53, at about 10:15 p.m. Saturday at Fourth and Washington streets, said Police Chief Timothy O’Neill.

O’Neill said Brellenthin had been at the Brick House Bar and Grill and was walking the four blocks to his home when the two men approached him. The pair demanded money, which Brellenthin could not produce, and then assaulted him. Brellenthin sustained facial injuries in the assault.

O’Neill said a passer by flagged down police, who were in the area, but no one was able to provide a detailed description of the assailants. Police do not know whether the attackers had also been at the Brick House Bar and Grill, O’Neill said.
