ROBERT E. WILBER

      Robert E. Wilber, 82 of Elkhorn, died peacefully Feb. 23, 2017, at Vintage on the Ponds Delavan.

Bob was born July 17, 1934, in Cambridge, to the late Edward C. and Lucille J. (Grubel) Wilber. He served in the U.S. Navy from July 1952 to July 1960. On Dec. 17, 1955, he was united in marriage to Patricia A. Flynn. Bob worked as a salesman for Clark Office Supply starting in 1960 until 1977, when he and Pat bought the business and owned and operated it from 1977 until they retired in 1996.

Bob was a professional musician, performing from 1955 until 1980 with the Bud Wilber Orchestra playing at Lake Lawn Lodge and Milwaukee Athletic Club, and with the Bob Wilber Quartet playing at Alpine Valley Resort. He was a member of the Palm Springs Elks, Elkhorn American Legion Post # 45, and the Waukesha Musicians Association.

Bob is survived by his wife of 61 years, Pat; three children, Tammara A. Wilber of Whitewater, Murphy (Scott) Christian of Elkhorn and Jeffrey (Anne) Wilber of Mukwonago; six grandchildren, Abbey (Clark) Scherer, Terrin Seaver, Christopher and Megan Wilber, Ryan and Grace Christian; his sister-in-law, Kathryn Flynn of Arkansas, and; his brother-in-law; Robert L. Meadows of Wyoming.
