Citizens Climate Lobby presentation Feb. 28

Citizens Climate Lobby is focused on a single objective: to have congress pass Carbon Fee and Dividend legislation which is the climate change solution economists and climate scientists alike say is the “best first-step” to preventing the worst impacts of global warming, according to a press release about an upcoming presentation.

The Lobby empowers ordinary citizens to help create the political will for climate solutions. It’s known that governments will respond to the will of the people provided we tell them what we want. And what we want is a livable world, the release stated.

Citizens Climate Lobby builds constructive, working relationships with members of Congress to promote the Carbon Fee and Dividend program; a climate change solution that bridges the partisan divide, the release further stated.

Norm Aulabaugh, a member of the Janesville, Wisconsin Chapter of Citizens Climate Lobby, will give a presentation at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28 at the Lion’s Field House in Williams Bay.

The event, sponsored by the Lakeland Audubon Society, is free and open to the public and refreshments will be served.
