JOSHUA W. YATES

Joshua W. Yates, 38, of Elkhorn died Friday Nov. 9, 2012 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn. He was born Aug. 24, 1974 in Kenosha to Melvin and Cheryl (Boatright) Yates.

He was a 1992 graduate of Delavan-Darien High School. He was an Auto Body Mechanic employed at Anderson Auto Body in Clinton. He was an active member of the Sugar Creek 4-H. He was also an avid Packer and Brewer fan. He knew Jesus Christ as his savior. He was good hearted, a hard worker and friendly to all he met. His friends and family loved him. He cherished Dana and his three girls.

He is survived by his fiancée, Dana Horak of Elkhorn; daughters, MiKayla, Olivia and Alaina; his mother and stepfather, Cheryl (Ed) Stephan of Darien; brother, Jason (Jennifer Wilson) Yates of Darien; grandparents, Fred (Dorothy) Boatright; niece, Natalie Yates and nephew, Nathan Wilson-Yates. Joshua was a loving son-in-law, brother-in-law and uncle.

His father, Melvin Yates and sister, Dawn Renee Yates, precede him in death.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Nov. 14 at the Monroe Funeral Home in Delavan with Joshua’s grandfather, the Rev. Fred Boatright officiating. Visitation will be Nov. 13 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Sharon. Monroe Funeral Home is assisting the family. Visit at monroefh.com
