A jury trial is scheduled for Feb. 11 and 12 for a Whitewater man charged with sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl.

Matthew W. VanderPluym

Matthew W. VanderPluym, 18, appeared in court in custody Oct. 19 for a status conference in the case in which he is charged with repeated sexual assault of a child, a Class B felony that carries a maximum penalty of 60 years in prison. VanderPluym pleaded not guilty to the charge Aug. 8.

According to the criminal complaint:

A 12-year-old girl told police VanderPluym had sexual contact with her a number of times over the past several months at a home in the Town of Whitewater.
