Arts Alliance’s annual meeting Oct. 25

Artists and art-advocates invited to review this year, plan for next

The Whitewater Arts Alliance will celebrate 2016 at its annual meeting at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 25 at the Cultural Arts Center, 402 W. Main St. Whitewater.

The meeting will feature a review of 2016, election of board members, and the revealing of plans for 2017, including a celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Whitewater Arts Alliance’s Cultural Arts Center.

“The WAA has had a terrific year, and we always look forward to sharing our success with our members. The annual meeting is also a great time for members to share their ideas for the future and any concerns they may have. We will also hold a drawing for a free individual membership for 2017 from the folks that attend. So, we hope to see everyone there,” WAA President, Linda Long, said.

The board members of the Whitewater Arts Alliance invite artists, art-lovers and community members to join them at the annual meeting. Anyone interested in serving on the board or as an officer should plan to attend the meeting. Nominations will be accepted from the floor.

The members of the WAA include artists and people who enjoy art. Artists and art-advocates alike are invited to join the Alliance. Members receive regular communication from the Alliance regarding art-happenings in the area. By becoming members, they also are helping to support an active thriving arts alliance in our community.

For more information visit the WAA’s website at www.whitewaterarts.org or like them on Facebook. All members are encouraged and invited to renew their membership for 2017 and help bring the arts to life in Whitewater.

The mission of the Whitewater Arts Alliance is to promote the visual and performing arts through an alliance of artists, individuals, educational resources, and organizations to promote creativity and diversity that will serve to educate and enrich the lives of the residents of the Whitewater community and surrounding areas.
