The East Troy High School girls tennis team is on quite a roll.

Fresh off a perfect 3-0 mark in Altoona over the weekend, the Trojans posted three more victories at a home quadrangular Monday afternoon.

East Troy, which has won its last nine dual meets, beat Brown Deer, Edgerton and Lake Mills on Monday by identical 7-0 scores.

“I’m very happy with the start of the season,” East Troy coach Dave Lindow said. “(We are) looking forward to practice to keep improving going into the conference season. We have plenty to work on, and we will push this team as far as we can.”

Winning singles matches against Brown Deer were junior Lora Leech at No. 1, 6-0, 6-0; sophomore Anna Stephan at No. 2, 6-0, 6-1; junior Alison Barth at No. 3, 6-0, 6-0; and sophomore Mikayla Lamping at No. 4, 6-0, 6-0.

Victorious doubles teams were sophomores Mackenzie Lindow and Erin Rice at No. 1, 6-0, 6-1; junior Maddie Peters and sophomore Paige Metcalf at No. 2, 6-0, 6-0; and senior Kelly Griffa and sophomore Allison Slusar at No. 3, 6-0, 6-0.

Picking up singles wins against Edgerton were Leech at No. 1, 6-0, 6-0; Stephan at No. 2, 6-2, 6-0; Barth at No. 3, 6-4, 6-1; and Lamping at No. 4, 6-1, 6-3.

At No. 1 doubles, Lindow-Rice won 6-2, 6-2, followed by senior Claudia Pott and sophomore Victoria Pott at No. 2, who n 7-5, 4-6, (10-7). Peters-Metcalf won 6-4, 6-3 at No. 3 doubles.

In the dual against Lake Mills, winning singles matches were Leach at No. 1, 6-0, 6-1; Stephan at No. 2, 6-0, 6-1; Barth at No. 3, 6-1, 6-1; and Lamping at No. 4, 6-4, 7-5.

Leach has won her last six matches and is 13-2 overall.

“She is playing really well right now heading into the conference season,” Lindow said.

The other three singles players have compiled similar streaks to open the season – Stephan is 12-3 overall, while Barth and Lamping are 9-2.

“(Stephan) has done a great job moving up from No. 4 singles last season,” Lindow said. “(Barth) has played very consistent lately using her offense as a weapon.

“(Lamping is) another one of our singles players who has continued getting better and more consistent.”

Winning doubles matches against Lake Mills were Lindow-Rice at No. 1, 6-2, 6-0; the Pott sisters at No. 2, 6-1, 6-1; and Griffa-Slusar at No. 3, 6-1, 6-0.

Lindow-Rice are 11-0 as a doubles team and 4-0 in singles competition to this point.

“These two have done an outstanding job playing together where the team needs them,” Lindow said. “Their doubles play is getting better, and they are starting to gel together. I’m looking for good things from this sophomore duo.”

At Altoona over the weekend, the Trojans beat Chippewa Falls 5-2, Bloomer 6-1 and Altoona 6-1. Action in the two-day event was rained out Saturday.

East Troy was the only undefeated team in the tournament.
