Walworth man accused of sexual assault

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 30 for a Walworth man charged with touching a 10-year-old girl’s mouth with his penis.

David J. Baker, 47, was charged Aug. 16 in Walworth County Circuit Court with first-degree sexual assault of a child and exposing his genitals.

According to the criminal complaint, the mother of a 10-year-old Bloomfield girl told police that her daughter awoke at about 5:30 a.m. Aug. 7 to Baker’s penis in her face. Baker, who knew the victim’s family, said he was just using the bathroom, according to the complaint.

The girl told a forensic interviewer that she was in bed and felt something touching her lips. She said she initially thought it was a finger, but when she opened her eyes, she saw Baker’s “boy part” touching her lips, according to the complaint.
