Warm welcome

      Mark Elworthy (center) the new Whitewater Unified School District Administrator, receives a warm welcome to the community and district by school board member Steve Ryan (left) and president Casey Judd (right) Monday night. After a meet-and-greet, Elworthy, in his update during the school board meeting offered “a special thank you” to Karen Saubert (Administrative Assistant), Nate Jaeger (Business Manager) and Eric Runez (former District Administrator) for assisting him in the transition. “They really got me pointed in the right direction. Many more people were helpful but I tell you, these people have just been very invaluable for me. I’ve been spending a lot of time meeting with community organizations, getting tours, setting up future tours of the campus, so it has been wonderful,” Elworthy said. (Tom Ganser photo)
