LOUELLA Z. MILLARD

LouellaMillardZimmerman      Louella Zimmerman Millard, 91, passed away June 25, 2016, at Fairhaven Care Center, Whitewater, her home for the past five years.

Louella was born to Frank and Lelah Leach Wargowsky Dec. 10, 1924, in Milwaukee. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church, Whitewater, since 1952, a volunteer at First English’s Thrift Shop for nearly 40 years, and a 28-year employee in food services at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. During WWII, Louella worked at Badger Ordinance in Baraboo. Along with many of her dear lady friends, she was a member of Hi-Lo Homemakers for years and years.

Louella is survived by her loving children, Connie Holden (John Butts) of Plain City, Ohio, Scott Zimmerman of Dyer, Tenn., Sally Williams of Atlanta, and Joan Dedolph-Donovan of Janesville; her grandchildren, Todd and Ross Holden, Daniel, David and Lisa Zimmerman, Devan and Ginger Zimmerman, Sylvanna Zimmerman Flowers, Matthew Williams, Tayrn Williams Szweda, Ryan and Brittany Dedolph; 10 great-grandchildren; her brother, Donald Wargowsky (JoAnn); and many other family and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Bass; and their son, Richard, by husband, Sylvan Zimmerman; and their sons, John and Gary, and by husband, Glenn Millard, also by her son-in-law, John Donovan; sister, Jeanette Kilpin; and brother, Gordon Wargowsky.

Funeral service will be on Tuesday, June 28 at 11 a.m. at the First English Lutheran Church in Whitewater, with the Rev. Steve Hanson officiating. Visitation will be on today, June 27 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the Church on Tuesday. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Palmyra.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Louella’s name to First English Lutheran Church.

Her family would like to thank the staff at Fairhaven for all the love and kindness they have shown Louella during her time there.
