Kishwauketoe Nature Conservancy in Williams Bay will play host to Aurora Cancer Clinic’s third annual Lombardi Walk to Tackle Cancer event in Williams Bay Saturday.

Registration and T-shirt pick up will begin at 8 a.m., at which time survivor, Live Well, and kids tents will open.

A brief program will begin at 8:30 a.m. on the walk, with the 5K walk kicking off at 9 a.m. Closing remarks will be held at 10 a.m. and festivities will run until 11 a.m.

There are no registration fees required to participate in the event, however, participants are encouraged to set a personal fundraising goal to help advance cancer care in Racine and Walworth counties.

All donations, including any matching gifts, must be postmarked on or before July 5, 2016, to qualify for awards, prizes and team and individual rankings. Any donations collected after Saturday’s walk can be mailed to: Aurora Health Care Foundation, 950 N. 12th St., Suite A511, Milwaukee, WI 53201. Those mailing donations after the walk should include a pledge donation form or site and walker name to receive credit accordingly.

All contributions will be eligible to receive matching funds from the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation.

With a goal of $30,000, the walk had already raised $13, 545 as of Wednesday afternoon.

The Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation has raised more than $18 million to help fight cancer since 1971, when the first annual Vince Lombardi Memorial Golf Classic was held in Wisconsin to raise money for cancer research and education in memory of legendary Green Bay Packers coach Vince Lombardi. Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinics are located at Aurora Health Care facilities through out eastern Wisconsin.
