Fans can go to state game

General admission tickets are now available in the Delavan-Darien High School athletic office through 3 p.m. Wednesday for the 2016 Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association girls state softball tournament to be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, at Goodman Diamond in Madison.

Student and adult game tickets are $8 each.

A fan bus for high school students only is available. Permission slips can be picked up in the athletic office and are due by 3 p.m. Wednesday. The ride charge of $15 includes the bus ride and a ticket in to the game. The bus will leave the high school at 4:30 and return around 9 p.m.

Fans are encouraged to line the streets and cheer on the girls as they drive by Thursday around Darien and Delavan. They will leave the high school staff lot at 10 a.m. to drive past Our Redeemer, Phoenix Middle School and Turtle Creek Elementary School shortly after, Darien Elementary around 10:15 a.m. and past Wileman Elementary around 10:30. The bus will go past St Andrew’s and then go down Walworth Avenue around 10:40 a.m. and back toward the high school and Madison.

Softball state T-shirts will be available for sale starting Wednesday during the lunch hour at school and in the athletic office until they are gone for a cost of $10 each.
