The East Troy Area Chamber of Commerce’s four-day 40th annual Corn and Brat Roast is just around the corner – Memorial Day Weekend, May 27 to 30. The roast features roasted sweet corn, brats, hot dogs, burgers, soda and beer, as well as live entertainment.

The chamber is looking for volunteers to sign up for three-hour shifts between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday through Monday.

“We are so excited to hold this event during the Corn and Brat Roast on the square with live music, giving it a real festival vibe,” Lenz said. “Attendees will have a chance to sample any beer they’d like and will receive a commemorative East Troy Brewfest glass. They will also get to vote for the best homebrew selection.”

Call (262) 642-3770 or email vanessa@easttroy.org for more information on volunteering.

The chamber’s 25th annual East Troy Community-wide Rummage Sale will also be Memorial Day weekend, May 27 to 29, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visit the chamber’s website at easttroy.org for more information and a listing of the rummage sales.

General admission tickets for Brewfest are $25 each and include: wristband for one entry to restricted access tasting area, 3-ounce tasting samples and one souvenir tasting glass.

“We are trying to have as many beer selections as possible so people can sample their favorites and others they haven’t tried before,” Lenz said. “We’re hoping to make this an annual event in East Troy.”

A variety of food will be available for purchase from the chamber’s Corn and Brat Roast. Participants must be 21 years of age or older with valid ID to participate. Designated driver tickets are $5, which includes a brat, burger or hotdog meal and three beverage tickets for water and soda.
