  1. Well, Many of us have asked the City to Control the Cities Boat Launch during the Winter, close it with Barricades and only open it when the Ice is Thick enough to Walk on it and then When Thcik enough to allow Vehicles to Use the Ramp to drive out and park on the Ice..But taht has fallen on Deft Ears for yrs.. Now, maybe, after these Car owners Sue the City over this, they might do something?
    I doubt it !

Maybe the other Geneva Lake Towns will Regulate their Boat Ramps during the winters too?

    I doubt it!

Thankfully No -One got Hurt ( This time) ..
and alot of Blame will go to the Car owners , its their own fault? But these are mostly City tourist and have no idea of how thick ice should be before Walking on it, let alone Driving their cars on it ..With the Boat Ramps Open? They just assumed the City thought it to be safe! So don’t go soely blaming them ! I’d like to watch some Lawyer suing the city over this in a Class action , make for a Good TV Show! and See how the City and City council members and The mayor Justify all this wasn’t their Fault !

  2. If you can’t figure out that parking your car on the ice when it’s 40 degrees out is a bad idea, you have no right blaming a city council or a mayor. Signs were posted “park at your own risk” for heaven’s sake!
